We had a characteristically busy holiday season, but most importantly, we did exactly what we needed -- make memories with each other. Motherhood is a gift that simply keeps on giving to me and I love the opportunity to view the Christmas season through your eyes. You were in a constant state of wonder and joy. I loved hearing you refer to "presents" as "prizes" and tell Santa that you wanted a reindeer for Christmas.

When I became a mom, I realized that all of the Christmas magic that I loved as a kid was really all because of my mom, and I hope we did the same for you this year.

We visited the German Christmas Market with Mimi and Poppie. Here you are waiting for Santa and Mrs. Claus.

We started a new family tradition to visit Kranyak's Christmas Display-- your favorite was, of course, the pink tree. We also stopped by the toy store at the end and you picked out a Mr. Potato Head.

Celery is back and he flew into town in a hot air balloon.

We made Christmas snow globes with lots of glitter!

Christmas jammies!

We went to Shadrack's to see the Christmas lights in our jammies. We stopped at Santa's Workshop at the end and you won this Frosty that you just didn't want to put down.

We started a new tradition this year, where I wrapped up 25 Christmas books and placed them in a box. Each night, you got to choose a Christmas book to read. You loved this!

Snuggling up to Great Uncle Jimmy on Christmas Eve-- we had over 50 family members spend Christmas Eve with us!

We were missing someone pretty important this Christmas. When I was growing up, Christmas Eve was the most magical night of the entire year and he was the one behind it. We propped him up at the bar for our party, so he'd feel right at home.

Member's Morning at the Aviary with Santa (and his penguin helper, Disco!)

For our community service project in December, you helped to decorate Christmas cookies for the homeless shelter-- and you and Mommy baked 15 dozen of them!

Santa came to visit at the Sewickley Fire Station. We did crafts, ate a cookie and best of all -- got to ride in the front seat of the fire truck!

This was your favorite thing that Celery did all December-- you hung out next to his igloo all morning!

We've cut down our Christmas tree every year since you were born-- we are all about the traditions!

We went to the Lumaze Indoor Christmas light show and it's pretty evident that you loved it!

Decorating our gingerbread houses on Black Friday. You adorned yours with a pink roof.
