Bambina turned 8 months and with every day that passes, we get another glimpse into her personality. She’s fun-loving, affectionate, determined, active and smart. And she’s  hyper mobile! She’s not only crawling but pulling herself to stand and cruising along the furniture. We’re full into the “can’t take our eyes off her” stage which I’m pretty sure never ends? It’s such a crazy thing to watch your babies grow. There really is nothing like it. I absolutely love life with her. (I mean, I’d love more sleep, too, but that will happen eventually! We just started officially sleep training this month.)

Our friend Julie commented that Capria just doesn’t want to be a baby– she wants to be a big kid! She likes having real food, and wants to walk, not crawl. Her favorite foods this month are her quinoa puffs, Greek yogurt, avocado and her “Basil Babe” which is a mixture of kale, apple & basil.

She sits in high chairs at restaurants now. She loves riding in the shopping cart & is always a big hit (especially with her big bows!) She had a month full of outings including the Italian Heritage Festival & the Aviary. She’s so squirmy, coy, goofy, curious, and can be very serious and focused too. I know every parent says this but I honestly fall more in love with her every day. I miss her at night when she sleeps. What she does to my heart is just beyond!

When people ask me how it is to have two kids now, I tell them it’s a whole new level of busy. Throw in a dog and a husband, and I rarely have a free minute. But gosh, I love it. I prayed for these days, and I will never forget how much I longed for all of them. Motherhood is not for the faint of heart, and I do not take my job lightly. I’m one lucky duck.
