Il nostro bambina,

You are perfect. You have made our family so happy and whole.

You are so generous with your smiles (though I’ve failed to capture most of them.) This month, you had your first taste of food that wasn’t breastmilk  – organic oatmeal and organic sweet potatoes – and you are all about the sweet potatoes! You’ve learned to belly laugh (my absolute favorite thing you do) and you have mastered holding toys. You hold your head up without any trouble. You are a curious little girl who loves to look out the window. You make the most adorable sounds (coos, screeches, and all sorts of laughs). You wake a few times at night to eat but you go right back to bed.  You’re a big-time drooler. You love the “Happy Birthday” song. You are so calm at just the right moments and make leaving the house so easy for us.  We swaddle you at night and call you our little Cannoli.  You still like when I wear you and I am one proud mom to be walking around with your sweet soul. Your month was filled with Sunday dinners, cuddles from your grandparents and Mimi’s surprise birthday party.

Each day you remind us what life is all about. You are so beautiful when you sleep, when you smile, when you trust and when you learn.

Now all we want to do is hit the pause button.
