Month 1 in Review

A lot of people say that newborns are all too-consuming but we have adored how consuming she is. We’re experiencing Capria as she unfolds before us, and changes day to day — sometimes even hour to hour. This month has been more than our favorite time. It’s been the privilege of a lifetime. She is truly such a good, sweet baby.

Vitals:

• 10 and 1/2 pounds

• 22 inches long

Highlights:

• Such an easy baby… the first few weeks she was a sleepy, sweet lump and now she’s already developing more of a personality

• Recently decided she likes the bath

• Had her very first smile – at Daddy!

Grins:

• Eskimo kisses

• Music (especially the “Happy birthday” song and Hootie and the Blowfish)

• Being read to by Sophia

• Eating (~3-5 ounces of breastmilk every 2-3 hours)

• Having visitors

Gripes:

• Outfit changes (but that hasn’t stopped mom….)

• Being swaddled

Favorite Outings:

• Cousin Kayla’s 1st birthday

• Church (and sleeping right through it)

• Cousin Sarah’s Sweet Sixteen

• Thanksgiving x2 at Mimi’s & Uncle Jimmy’s
