Happy 2 months in our world, Capria! As I type this, you’re sleeping on me in my office right now as I work a late night & Daddy is at a board meeting.

Two months ago, you became ours. Time, in my world, has never passed so quickly. The differences between a 2 month old and a newborn are just tremendous. Your first days went by in a blink.

This period has been SO good. I love that you’re such a cuddler and you want to be close to the people that love you. Your grandmas watch you during the week at our house so I can work and I’m so grateful that they’ve made that sacrifice with their personal lives and given us that opportunity— to be in the comfort of your own home, being loved on by your family, getting undivided attention and loads of kisses—and it’s awesome to be a few feet away from you so that I can sneak a peak in between conference calls.

You have big hazel eyes and a crazy patterned head of hair. You wear them well. You love to coo and babble. (Sophia and I are working hard at teaching you to say ‘Ciao, bambina’ and ‘We are… Penn State!’) You kick your legs in excitement at books or music—or when I pull out the wrap to “wear” you. You love hosting Sunday dinners because you get all of the attention (it used to be my bucatini that got the love.) You like to hang out with us in our bed in the morning before your first nap and you are completely content staring at the lights and listening to us talk to you. You are literally cuter every day. Uncle Matt says you should be a model. You let me dress you in all sorts of ridiculous get ups. You now look all around and are starting to control your head better, too! Dr. DiCenzo continues to say that you’re advanced for your age. You want to eat as soon as you get up—no doubt where your lineage lies. You stop crying when Daddy bounces you or if I sing to you (which is ironic since my singing is what makes most people start crying.)

You’re a happy, healthy baby, little one. Here’s to your 3rd month—I know the best is yet to come!
