Mama’s day off with you

Sweet bambina,

You are developing such a sweet personality and your smiley reactions are simply the best.  You are so incredibly patient and can entertain yourself now, which is darling to watch.  Knowing that each month just keeps getting better and better, we are so excited to see what is coming up in the months ahead for our family. We love taking you everywhere with us and everyone swoons when you come through the door.

You’ve had a lot of milestones this month, including that you’ve been sleeping in your own crib– you probably like not having to hear River snore anymore. You sleep in your little marshmallow suit that keeps you warm & cozy. You love to roll on your side, pop your thumb in your mouth and curl your legs up while you sleep.  You sing when you go to sleep & smile when you wake up. How did we get such an easy baby?

You also hit another milestone a bit early– sitting up on your own! You love grabbing for things (you especially like pulling the tubing off of my breastpump), blowing raspberries and being held up high in the air.  If our walls could talk, they would say that all we do is dote on you. Everything you do makes us smile. You’re getting heavier – almost 17 pounds – and you’re certainly giving your grandmas a workout during the week.

You tried your first foods this month and so far, have eaten, with gusto – pumpkin, beets, sweet potatoes, spinach, sweet peas, pears, kale, peaches, oatmeal and avocado. You absolutely love when these things are mixed with Greek yogurt! Ultimately, though, your favorite food is still mama’s milk. =)

You kick and dance like crazy when Daddy plays the guitar for you. You are particularly fond of being read to, which pleases us to no end. You had a busy month: Talia’s birthday at the farm, your first sleepover, a girl’s night with your cousins & starting Mommy & Me swim lessons. We can’t wait to see what’s on deck for next month.

I love you forever, my love!
